• Post em here!

Which bands do you want to see on RB09. We already have somes names (expect some news in the next couple of weeks) but input is always welcome!

    Jurgen

  • EyeHateGod, Corrupted (!!!), Ocean, Abandon, Buried At Sea, Dystopia, Minsk, Moss, Switchblade, Intronaut, Asva, Grave Temple, KTL, Ascend, 5ive, Kayo Dot, Atavist, Stars of The Lid

And last but not least: Khanate renion show :D

And again: Isis and Cult of Luna!!! .. hell ... neurosis + isis + cult of luna :-)

  • SOme of the names above are on our longlist, but it's not always up to us. Isis and Sunn will certainly not re-apear, others like Asva, Earth, Moss, 5ive, we would love to see on Roadburn 2009, but that also depends on these bands touring (we are not in the financial position to fly them over) or if we can pay them ;-).

  • Weedeater
    Sons of Otis
    Earthlings?
    Fatso Jetson
    Yawning Man

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on?

Mine and a bunch of other peoples suggestions has already been posted here: http://www.last.fm/group/Roadburn/forum/52379/_/403774

For some reason most of the bands I desperately want to see are American :/

Year of No Light, Jesu (full band or solo), BSON and Cult of Luna are very welcome to re-appear though.

    • Knut! Knut! Knut!

    • Cult of Luna should reappear, Melvins, Earth, Grails

    • Maybe Aaron Turner is willing to do something else like Old Man Gloom...:D

    • Icos, Fall of Efrafa, Omega massif, Tephra, Celestine

    • Year of no light, Bossk, Jakob

    • Ephel Duath

    • Mare, Kayo Dot, Lento, Ufomammut, Intronaut

    • Maybe something chilly like Woven Hand or Bohren & der Club of Gore, Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble?

    • Did I mention Knut?

  • maybe you should give your local (tilburg) talent a chance: IZAH

Now you have to book them Jurgen ;)

  • I loved the suggestions for the Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and an Old Man Gloom possibility.

If YOB are really back it would be awesome, as would be the mentioned Deadbird, Unearthly Trance, Corrupted, Skepticism and Esoteric.

    A few other favourites:

    - Black Sun
    - Lair Of The Minotaur
    - Ufomammut
    - Gnaw Their Tongues
    - Transmission0
    - Ulver
    - Pyramids
    - Deadbird
    - The Ghost Dance Movement
    - Suffocate For Fuck Sake
    - William Elliott Whitmore
    - Candlemass or Solitude Aeturnus
    - Envy
    - Asunder

I always take the long way home.

    The Reformation Of YOB
    Current mood: catalyzed

YOB is reforming to record a new album and do a limited number of shows. We have a number of new songs we are working on and our goal is to record in the Spring for a Summer 2009 release. We are very excited about this new material.
YOB will be doing a very small amount of shows to support our new recording. We hope to do 2-3 shows on the west coast, 2-3 on the east coast, and maybe get over to the UK/Europe for a couple of shows if promoters over there feel it would be worth their $$ to bring YOB over for a very short run. We will not add any other shows to these except in rare instances.
Any booking inquiries can be sent to Nathan Carson at Nanotear Booking: nanotear@hotmail.com.
    DOOM!!! Mike S/YOB

I always take the long way home.

This couldn't be more right. YOB and Neurosis is all I need.

    Please book 'em!

  • Grief :-)

  • Grief and YOB! .. both bands active again now so.. ;)

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on?
  • We've been in contact with Yob, but it's going to be difficult. They are not the kind of band we can fly in for a one off, so they have to be on a tour. If you guys take care of the gigs surrounding Roadburn, we'll book em, no problem ;-)

  • Windmills By the Ocean
    Tesa
    Zozobra
    Humanfly

  • UFOMAMMUT :)
