The New Pornographers scraps its July tour.
Here's the message we got this morning:
"We regretfully must inform you that we have had to cancel our trip to Europe this coming July due to personal reasons. Sorry that sounds generic, but it's sincere. We do not like having to cancel shows and were very excited about returning to Europe, but the unforeseen circumstances that have arisen just have made it impossible to do so in July. Please rest assured, though, that everyone in the band is safe, healthy (physically and most of the time mentally), and chemically independent, and we hope that you are as well."
We'll announce their replacement asap.

Dig Up Elvis are forced to cancel their appearance at Dour Festival because of schedule conflicts. Belgian band Austin Lace will take their place. Their single "Kats" is currently played a lot on our stereo!

Shearwater have been chosen to open for Coldplay on their US summer tour, therefore they will not be able to play in Europe in July.

The Dour Festival's bill has been confirmed 2 weeks ago and we're getting closer to D Day!

Tickets sales are going very well, even better than in previous years. We strongly suggest that you don't wait until July to buy yours or you may be disappointed!
We can already see that last year's records will be beaten in 2008!

The first big surprise is that Wu-Tang Clan are back at Dour this summer for the 20th anniversary!
The festival-goers will be able to scream Wu-Tang! Wu-Tang! to their heart's content on the Dour fields once more.
Hip hop collective extraordinaire from the East Coast, will be back with Method Man who could not be with us last year.
They will be an added bonus on the main stage on Friday along with Ice Cube, to present their new album 8 DIAGRAMS!

THURSDAY JULY 17 | TIGA AND TURBO RECORDINGS TO BEGIN IN STYLE!

TIGA, the DJ, producer and composer originally from Montreal is a star of the electronic music scene. At the helm of the TURBO RECORDINGS label, Tiga also plays his tunes around the world in the most prestigious venues.
Already at Dour back in 2002, TIGA will play again this year with his label friends by his side : Zombie Nation, one of the brightest star to come from the German electronic scene and Ivan Smagghe, the brilliant and respected frenchman who started Black Strobe. We will soon confirm the names of two other artists who will perform that same night on the Turbo Recordings stage.
