Op zondag 26 augustus vindt de eerste editie van Lockdown Festival plaats op het karakteristieke en industriële NDSM terrein dat op een steenworp afstand ligt van het Amsterdamse centrum. Lockdown Festival is het eerste outdoor festival in Nederland dat haar pijlen volledig richt op dubstep en bass music en daarmee een brug slaat tussen het club- en festivalseizoen.
Een aantal namen die ten tonele zullen verschijnen zijn onder andere Noisia, Digital Mystikz (Mala en Coki), TNGHT (het nieuwe project van Hudson Mohawke en Lunice), Pearson Sound, Joker, Jackmaster, Cookie Monsta, Kryptic Minds, Funtcase, Distance, Youngsta, Loefah, Gomes, Cinnaman, Nicon, Presk en vele andere. Verder zullen de Amsterdamse organisaties Colors en King Shiloh Sound System beiden een eigen stage hosten op het festival.
