I LOVE Veggie Heaven and never get tired of it. It's not as badly priced as some "faux-meat" specialty restaurants I've been to. Love the Tangerine Mushrooms and Protein 5000. ALSO, there's now a Chaos in Tejas message board at SMN forums, go there to discuss parties, shows, gatherings, food, drama and anything else. Veggie Heaven's overrated, but if you want free food from there just stand right outside the entrance (make sure you're seen by the staff) and hold up your hand signaling "number one". Wheatsville's pricey as fuck, but that's to be expected as they do have some nice items and a good little deli. Whole Foods = compound of the righteous

There will be no cheap lodging downtown. Best bet for good deals close to the venues will be on North I-35 which will be about a 15 minute drive away, depending on traffic. There are tons of healthy food options. I like Veggie Heaven on Guadalupe which is not too far away from the area. Wheatsville is a grocery store with a lot of nice options. Also, Austin is home to Whole Foods. Do searches on food trailers which seem to pop up on a regular basis.
