They closed off that area because the pathway they had for it was destroyed by half 6 cos it was narrow, steep, and wet and pretty much too dangerous. It was too small for a 2 way system anyway. They need a bigger area for it.

Was right next to our house and I got set on by a load of drunk students and ended up in hospital. Thank fuck its not there anymore. Fed up of such a nice park getting destroyed!

Does anyone know why they closed off the first area for the rest of the night? Really wanted to see SMD but when we tried to go back the gates were shut and we were told they wouldn't be opened. Really badly organised, still had a great time though.

I think an infant could have organised getting in better than GMP or the festival organisers. And I was annoyed that the crowd weren't as into the Flaming Lips as they should have been.
