Vaynol, a site with over 1000 years of history and 1000 acres of walled parkland, gardens and agricultural estate on the banks of the Menai straights in Gwynedd, North Wales, will provide the perfect location for The Trip’s laid back, family friendly three-day event.
Held for the first time last year on the Carreglywd Estate on Anglesey, The Trip boasts a mix of live music and DJs, with a dance tent with the musical emphasis on the Balearic and cosmic boogie vibes, along with a sprinkling of the latest house, techno and electronic music. This year, the master of ambient chill MixMaster Morris will have his own area which will also feature a selection of poetry, circus performances, workshops, therapies and other family-friendly activities.
The Line Up will be announced over the next few weeks, but will include The Trip’s trademark mix of folk, psych-folk and psychedelia, with a mix of British and international, signed and unsigned bands. Friday night will host some of Wales’s finest bands on the main stage and, like last year, the three days will feature local and Welsh artists, performers and vendors.
