• Too much background chat

Sat 18 Jun – The London Feis FestivalThere was a time when people went to festivals to listen to music. A large proportion of the crowd in front of the main stage were holding conversations, either with their neighbours or on a mobile phone, raising their voices to be heard above the music. I discovered that I could hear the music better at the back of the crowd where people were more spaced out. I wish I had spent more time at stages 2 and 3 as I enjoyed the bits of music that I heard from there and there wasn't the annoying background chat. As a 70's person, I had to see Dylan: I was disappointed as he sounded like a geriatric trying to remember the words. I wish I had gone to see the "The Saw Doctors" instead as the music I heard coming from that stage sounded really good. Despite my moans, it was a good day out. I had attended to see The Waterboys, The Cranberries and Bob Dylan. Those acts were disappointing, but I did hear some other good music and there were enough friendly people there to make it a good day.
