Anyone get the setlist for The Sea and Cake? :)

I had a good time but I agree with most of the comments. The sound for The Horrors was so bad that you could almost hear only the bass and the drums... and I was right in the center. I wanted to kill the sound guys. I really didn't understand some choices of stage, I mean, some band should have been on the main stage and not on smaller ones and viceversa.

An hour to figure out where everything was? Were you walking backwards?

P.S. I agree with Peter Winter, the maps not being on the expensive line ups sold was a disgrace and the free ones handed out were more like a T-Shirt design than a map, ridiculous spending an hour working out where things are on a one day festival! Also agree too many people this year for the space and number of acts, mainly i'd say because the main stage wasn't drawing the crowd. Bigger acts on the main stage might've meant less people flocking to and overcrowding the tents and other spaces.

...fifthly the maps were totally useless, symbol system was terrible and totally meaningless.

Just a quick note to the festivals organisers who may stumble upon this message: Firstly, there were too many people for the event (safest bet to see a live band was the main stage). Secondly, the tents need to have clearer/better displayed signs outside. Thirdly, the sound guys need to be in constant communication with each other (i.e walkie-talkie) as the sound leaked between tents (for example, Mark Kozelek, who i'm surprised didn't walk off). Fourthly, the sound was average i.e Excellent for Warpaint, terrible for the Horrors.

Great day. Some of the bands should have been on bigger stages. Also most of the crowd seemed lifeless for a lot of the sets.

@candyrunts you've summed it up well. Aside from a few squashes and a few dickheads I had a very good day

I don't agree with the overselling aspect. Sure, some of the tents were busy, James Blake, Anna Calvi, Zola Jesus (especially on such a small stage), to name a few that I saw, but there was huge amounts of space around the main stage. I don't think I got caught in a single bottleneck all day, compare that to the crowds moving at something like Reading, I really don't see what kind of numbers people were expecting to be there..........As for the constant talking, well that's just the audience an all-dayer in London for this sort of music is unfortunately going to attract.

I spent most of this festival staring at the backs of heads and listening to dissonant reverb that was probably music before it passed through the thousand people talking over the inexplicably low-volume speakers. It was very clearly oversold. Having said that - Zola Jesus, Factory Floor and the five minutes of Electrelane I saw made the ticket price more than worthwhile.

Zola jesus tore that festival up, and Wild Beasts were a perfect end to the night. Though i have to agree with most of the negative comments that everyone else has already said. I had a nice time, but probably won't go again.

i enjoyed myself (probably helped i didn't come 'til about half 3 and brought my own alcohol), but it's a shame people always seemed to push into the middle of the crowd, then just stand talking for the entire set. sound was pretty poor too.

Worst 'festival' I've ever been to by a long way. Here are my many reasons: 1) Overcrowding. WAY too many people for such a small festival, the majority of them being people who had no interest in what they were seeing and were there to get drunk. 2) The bars. The queues as a result of the overcrowding were horrendous (so too were the toilets), but to queue up and be told a different price to what you've been paying is bullshit. No consistency. Also, beers were warm. 3) Timing. I'm usually fine with having to wait for a band to come on, but not 15-20 later for everyone I saw. 4) Signing & map. Too often I was looking at that AWFUL coloured dot that was meant to be a 'map' and had no idea where I was because the stage names were written on a tiny fucking napkin of a flag. EG: Eat You Own Ears Stage was written under MASSIVE text saying 'FIELD DAY'. Seriously dumb. The organisers really need to be less greedy next time. Regardless, I ain' going. Thanks for reading, if indeed you did.

...I really enjoyed it. I do agree though - I don't understand why people make their way to the middle of a crowd watching a band just to have a soundtracked conversation, but that was the only downer I experienced.

I got there at 3:44...watched 0PN then left immediately after...I wanted to stay for Actress or Omar but couldn't stand being in that place for a second longer. I'm not even expecting people to not talk through sets but it's just such a cringeworthily chavvy event unfortunately. Congratulations EYOE you tedious bunch of saps-next year I'll take my shirt off and slosh some lager about in your name! You stand for everything that is M.O.R and awful! :P
