Sunday was fucking amazing. Rise Against was good, Hole was great, and Weezer was fucking incredible. Rivers was climbing all over and on top of stuff on and off stage and moving around the audience. For their 2nd to last song they covered MGMT's Kids and then in the middle of that Rivers put on a wig and they started playing Poker Face then went back to Kids. Then for the last song they played Buddy Holly (which everyone went nuts for) and they all played the drum set at the end of it. It was awesome.

I got my tickets for Sunday, the 5th, mainly to see Hole (though The Dandy Warhols, Weezer, and Rise Against aren't anything to complain about). I live in Portland and have never been to Bumbershoot, but I figure the 3 hour drive to Seattle is worth it, and I plan on spending the night and leaving Monday. I am SO excited.

More than just notifying you of an upcoming local performance, gigposters can subliminally inform the musical sublime. Bumbershoot will celebrate the art form by hosting Flatstock 27...Groovemine picks the best of the best: http://www.groovemine.com/musicfestivals_bumbershoot_flatstock27

I'm on the fence. Wouldn't mind seeing Weezer, but last years lineup was so much better.
