I didn't attend this but from reading the comments it sounds like this is starting to transform into your typical festival.(albeit probably with a better lineup than 90% of whats out there). Could anyone recommend me a good festival with acts like bonobo, K & D, Leggo Beast, The solid Doctor etc etc, many thanks.

thanks ever so much Atitlan-- Tako Lako ruled ending the last night at Global Local stage( or maybe we were in the right mood!). My first festival it was, had a s u p e r b time.. -- now back to depression remembering.. Godspeed! You Black BigChillers....

I was less bothered about Lily Allen in the Sunday evening slot than MIA and Plan B being there at all. Still, like you say a poor line-up on the main stages, sends you elsewhere - in my case to see Wax Tailor in Chill-X who proved well worth seeing.

I think there were only a few people who shouldn't have played, in my opinion MIA, Lily Allen, Tinie Tempah, Kelis and Plan B shouldn't have been there but if someone else had been on instead of Lily Allen i might have not seen Bonobo and if MIA hadn't been on i might not have seen Mount Kimbie so it worked out quite well in the end.

Was disappointed with Friday's scheduling - Massive Attack, Kruder + Dorfmeister and Belleruche all clashing, i wanted to see Mystery Jets as well it was the worst planning ever.

paparulitsa - if the stage you're talking about was 'Global Local' the last act was Tako Lako. Agree with those saying how good Roy Ayers was ... loved the 'duel' with the saxophonist! Husky Rescue were great, too. Was disappointed with Friday's scheduling - Massive Attack, Kruger + Dorfmeister and Belleruche all clashing.

It was still good fun, with some great music (Caribou, Mt Kimbie, Lonelady, Husky Rescue, Liars etc) but there were definitely too many mainstream artists (and the type of punters they attract). It's just another festival now (a better one than many, admittedly) and definitely isn't Big Chill anymore. Whatever happened to their 'Leave No Trace' policy?

Can anyone that had the festival programme (too expensive but missed Husky Rescue because of it..) .... tell me please the name of the gypsy band from Denmark that played last on Sunday at the small stage that was next to the Paradiso stage? Been trying to find them and seems impossible so far.... ''Irene''

It seems to be getting more mainstream every year... previously Ninja Tunes, Warp, Big Dada type guys have been on the main stage. Not this year. It also sounded like they were sound checking through the first part of Norman Jay's main stage set. Some highlights though: Caribou, Bonobo, Ray Ayers, DJ Derek were great and the Eastnor site is still beautiful!

The whole Alan thing comes from the BBC's Walk On The Wild Side: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKi2mJ5tlWk. I saw a real Alan getting completely mobbed, he didn't have a clue what was going on!

I thought it was just the Sunday night they did that @ MrDafman. I think it was to do with Lily Allen's performance which I missed for Bononbo unfortunately :/
