Every summer since 1968, Québec City beats to the rhythm of the Festival d’été de Québec. For 11 days in July, more than 1,000 artists take over the streets and the outdoor and indoor stages of the city.
With its unique formula, Canada’s biggest outdoor artistic event gives festivalgoers admission to all the outdoor shows and concerts for a single price. With 300 shows to choose from, the thousands of festivalgoers in town have plenty to celebrate: rock, pop, electro, jazz, reggae, folk, hip-hop, funk, blues, classical music, song… Québec City Summer Festival is all this and more!
In addition to the variety of music shows, the Festival includes street performances. Characters, jugglers and acrobats swarm through the streets of Old Québec giving funny and wacky free performances for the whole family. Note that children under 12 accompanied by an adult will be admitted to the Festival free of charge.
