The Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival was born in 1999, allowing festival-goers in the North of England to enjoy the stunning and often exclusive line-ups that its older brother Reading secured. Both festivals make up The Carling Weekend, the UK’s only simultaneously occurring three-day festival, with the line-ups rotating between the two sites. In contrast to the more ‘intense’ urban setting of Reading, Leeds takes place in the smaller, but far more picturesque and laid back setting of Bramham Park (10 miles outside the city), having moved from its original venue (Temple Newsam Park) in 2003.

Lewis_7 Ah memories. Highlights for me were The Subways, Biffy Clyro, Lostprophets, The Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Eat World, Dinosaur Jr., Nine Black Alps and LostAlone. Not to mention bottling Pete Wentz of course!

i crowdsurfed at nfg! the bouncer man dropped me and some boy landed on me, haha. they were definitely the highlight of the festival!!!

HoodsUpOnEntry Amazing weekend, hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Highlights for me were Brand New, The mass singalong to 'Hurt' during NIN's set, seeing the biggest amount of crowdsurfing done in one song EVER during New Found Glorys last song and Biffy Clyro were pretty damn amazing too. AndySpeedway I can't believe all this trouble people are talking about. It was the weekend of my life. Had an amazing time. Saw all the bands I wanted to see, and more. Had no trouble whatsoever, and didn't see any. My friends saw a man punch his girlfriend in the face which wasn't very nice though. We thought we had a shit location cos we were just inside the forest, but it turned out to be one of the best
