Yes that’s right lovers of rap, hip-hop, pop, rock, hell just music in general, the valedictorian, Mr Kanye West, is bringing his Glow In The Dark Tour to Australia this December! With a brand new single “Love Lockdown” burning up the radio waves, and a new album scheduled to drop on December 16th, Kanye is at the top of his game.

Arguably already the most important creative force in hip-hop music today, Kanye is building the future of hip-hop ashe digs back in time with his unique ear for samples, connecting the past with the present in a brand new way.

Kanye made his first lunge for world domination in 2004 - no matter where you lived, if you owned a radio, a TV, acomputer or a were simply taking a walk to the canteen, Kanye West broke into your music consciousness with his first album ‘The College Dropout’.

Kanye’s follow-up album of 2005, ‘Late Registration’ reaffirmed him as the man at the top of his class. Featuring singles of distinction “Diamonds From Sierra Leone” & “Gold Digger”, the album’s a must for every music student, full or part time.

Now with his 3rd release ‘Graduation’ Kanye has once again been voted top of the class, showing the rest how it should be done. Leading the charge with Stronger & Good Life, Graduation is another critical & commercial touchstone. Coinciding with the Glow In The Dark Tour, West will drop his 4th studio album this December.

Classmate to Kanye will be special guest, Nas, visiting Australia for the first time.

Coming to the fore with his now classic 1994 debut album ‘Illmatic’, the native New Yorker endeared hip-hop purists & critics alike, earning him a reputation as the teacher of hip-hop. Following multiple album releases & reaching salesover 12 million, Nas’ career came to a turning point in 2005 in a surprising, public reconciliation with Jay-Z, a long-time rival for rap’s East Coast throne.

The move resulted a Def Jam deal, & the release of ‘Hip-Hop Is Dead’ (2007), once more proving his legendary sharp micskills. Nas stands tall as statesman, mentor, & the “conscience” of hip-hop.

Kicking off the night’s proceedings will be New Zealand’s own hip-hop A-Grade student, Scribe.

Scribe’s debut album of distinction ‘The Crusader’, brought phenomenal critical & credible success on both sides of the Tasman. Boasting a platinum debut, Scribe regrouped at his Christchurch home, working on the 2007 sophomorerelease ‘Rhyme Book’. The album debuted top 10 in the ARIA album chart.

    just reading through all your comments... valid points there. I thought afterwards that, yeah he could have played some more songs instead of 15 minutes of a song slowly fading out...but in those 15 minutes kanYe was pourin his heart out...it made it more personal i thought and it was diffrent to just playin songs...We payed alot for the concert to and I personally think its going to be hard for me to see one better AND he better bring out a DVD cos I will be on it so fast....PEACE xxo

    kanye needs to get over his coldplay/keane/killers fantasy of whole stadiums singing along to his epic anthems of heartbreak and dispair. You don't see Chris Martin or Bono (as much as they dont interest me) using autotune (or robot voice as someone referred to it below) to ignite stadiums.

    before the 2nd encore i was like "word, this was one of best concerts i been to" especially with a great set from nas thrown in. but...well we all know what happened after that. we all collectively witnessed kanye lose his mind with his freestyling singing. how does he not know most people just aren't feeling that shit? the crowd was flat as at the end. but still it was great before that. hey how mad was "get 'em high". i also loved it that he did "put on" even the singing freestyle at the end of that was pretty good, but he never should have done it for more than one track.

    The 'I left... Has it finished yet?' was a joke. I was hoping he continued it for a few minutes once it had already gone on for so long, and then came out with "Good Morning" and finished with "The New Workout Plan". That would have ended it off sweet as. ;p
