Bloodstock Open Air is a heavy metal festival held annually at Catton Hall in Walton-upon-Trent, England, since 2005.

Band signing sessions take place regularly throughout the course of the festival, wherein fans can get their merchandise signed by performing artists.
There is also a ‘Metal Karaoke’ each night after all of the bands have finished, and new for this year a series of Podcasts across the build up to the festival, available at http://bloodstock.podomatic.com/

www.seansrecordings.blogspot.com currently uploaded 4 out of the 16 bands I recorded. So far uploaded Bloodshot Dawn, The Haunted, The Rotted and Equilibrium. Not great quality recordings due to having to use a low bitrate setting to record but good enough for jogging the memories of everyone who was too drunk to remember the bands sets!

In general "Metalheads" are open minded people, i mean Bloodstock promotes all types of metal/rock genres... and there was some people who had a chav attitude, why chuck stuff at performers or anyone for that matter, how doe's that make the rest of us look... i'll be surprised if bands will want to play bloodstock in the future after, some mindless idiots destroy the whole atmosphere and camaraderie. I don't understand why watch something you don't like? I don't like Blind Guardian so i didn't watch them... simple anyway all in all apart from some goons! It was an awesome weekend met some really cool open minded people and thrashed out like a mother-f*cker!!

I enjoyed Blind Guardian immensely, then when Cradle came on I went and got pissed and danced in the Sophie Lancaster tent and carried on enjoying the night. Sorted. Everyone I met was pretty friendly but statistically, in 10,000 people, there's gonna be a bunch of nobs. The only bad thing I had was a guy getting red paint all over my jumper during Turisas because he was really drunk and all over the place then promptly vomited right behind me. Niiiiiiice.

I've been to festival's in a load of different country's, Germany especially, and I have to say there are more morons in the UK than anywhere else. I had at least 3-4 groups of random twats with costumes (meant to be funny I presume?) coming up to me "lol r u gunnA botl cradl ov filf lol", just ignored them each time. I'd actually put money on half the people bottling Cof liked them no more than a year ago, but found out it was cool to dislike them.
