In May 2008 Beat Dimensions invited Flying Lotus and Hudson Mohawke to the Bimhuis to play a special experimental set in front of a seated audience, slightly different from the beats they would play in a club with a standing crowd.
In October Beat Dimensions returns to the Bimhuis with Dimlite, Mike Slott and Take. Residents Cinnaman and Aardvarck will kill the bar with their sonic archive of the absurd. Beats and bass from the future.

Slott vond ik juist ontzettend goed muzikaal. Je kunt je afvragen hoe live het is, en ik begrijp dat het niet altijd even aantrekkelijk is om naar een laptop te kijken, maar de opname nu een keer of 15 gehoord te hebben kan ik niet anders zeggen dat hij ongelooflijk inventieve muziek maakt. Dimlite spande de kroon als artiest, dat wel.

Er was iets mis (wat weet ik niet), en in plaats van het op te lossen creëerde hij een nieuw probleem door een verkeerde knop per ongeluk in te drukken op zijn Mackie. Heb net de opname een keer of zeven teruggeluisterd en zijn set heeft er niet onder geleden. Erg mooi, en een toffe avond. Dank voor je komst.
