At a time, Shakespearean drama served as entertainment for the masses, right?
Titus Andronicus, named after a minor tragedy, certainly had this ethos in mind when playing before an intimate crowd at the Funhouse last night. The heavily muffled, pop-tinged chants were hummable foot-stompers and guilty pleasure guitar solos were provided in relay from each of their four guitarists during the same song. This seemed to please the hell out of anyone who cared to listen, especially the lead vocalist, holding sway with his commendable audience repoire for the entire 45 minute duration.
In frequent chats with the audience, the vocalist captured a wide appeal, expressing his love for Nirvana(but not Bleach) and marveling at the proximity of the venue to the Space Needle(as a disarming tourist).
