My the way, did anybody else notice the shooting star that flew in the sky over the stage while they were playing "All Alright"? A few people around me noticed it and gasped.

Yeah, as I've had a few days to reflect on this show, I've realized just how purely *magical* it really was. Now I normally gag when I hear people say that about a concert, but in this case it honestly feels like the only appropriate description. Icelandic people must be descended from goddamn elves and unicorns. Cynicism aside, the band far exceeded my expectations and the near-reverent awe of the crowd around me was unlike any other, especially for LA! This was a rare and wonderful night. I hope I can see them again someday.

This show tied my #1 favorite show I've ever attended -- so incredibly moving, yes, I cried. would've given anything to be closer, but the crowd was as focused as I was, so it didn't matter. such an amazing feeling of being in unison with everyone. my favorite show I referred to above is also Sigur Ros, in 2003, when they were promoting "( )" and played to a tiny auditorium of mostly old people (they weren't well-known), myself and my family. They projected their music videos behind them and they were backed by a small orchestra. The Album Leaf opened and Jimmy LaValle joined in on drums during a few intense songs.

here's the set list 'Svefn-G-Englar' 'Glosoli' 'Ny Batteri' 'Vid Spilum Endalaust' 'Hoppipolla/Med blod' 'Festival' 'Heysatan' 'E-Bow' 'Saeglopur' 'Inni Mer Syngur' 'Hafsol' 'Gobbledigook' 'Popplagid' 'All Alright' I was so mad, I brought a small camera and they took it away, I managed to get it back for the final encore of "all alright" but I flew in from Canada just for the show and wanted some pics. Nonetheless it was beautiful, definitely Saeglopur brought me to tears as well.
