I saw them last night at St Georges Church in Brighton - I was in the front row about five feet from the musicians. A really great gig in a fab venue. I have some top pics that I will upload to Flickr when I have a spare moment.
Both their albums are good. The first is best but the new one is well worth a few quid of yer money.
They're no Sonny and Cher, very little (if any) banter between them, and if anyone knows a man less at home at the front of a stage than Mark Lanegan, I'd like to see them.
I am in danger of becoming a Lanegan obsessive. I will be getting along to the Gutter Twins gig in a few weeks. I think - for a bloke that stands very still and doesn't say a word - he has an amazing presence.
There's some great music around with an Americana feel...
in addition to the new Campbell/Lanegan album...
there's the wonderful Bon Iver record...
...the Fleet Foxes album which is superb and every bit as good as I hoped...
