Lo-fi Indie-pop, sugary 70’s rock, country and western textures, Olivia Tremor Control’s spirit, Southern Rock and noisy expirements.
This portland-based band re-invented themselves with their true and honest third album “Wild Mountain Nation”. As charming and diverse as an early Pavement record. and songs to keep coming back to. honest stuff.

Emma Luis “Scout” Niblett released the monumental ripped ‘this fool can die now’ late last year on Too Pure. An album recorded by Steve Albini and with the vocal help of mister pseudonym, Will Oldham (Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Palace etc). With definitely one of the best albums of 2007 she positions herself as a disturbing reflex of Chan Marshall (Cat Power). Some other go even further and assure that she is the female reincarnation of Kurt Cobain.

Definitely one of the most interesting and hottest live-bands around. This L.A. quartet just released their debut-album.
“In fact, the first half-minute would be entirely blank if not for the slow approach of a lone, distant whirr. But once the band announces itself with a huge, reverberating crash, the album rarely returns to such quietude. Sprinting through eleven tracks of orchestrated chaos in a breathless half-hour, HEALTH mixes the bombastic pound of Boredoms, the skewed structures of Deerhoof, the tribal thump of Liars, and even the synth squirts of Black Dice and Excepter.”
“HEALTH execute their noisy rants and sharp stomps with such precision that even their most generic tracks are impressive.”
ROOMMATE (USA- PLUG RESEARCH)
Roommate began as the solo music project of Kent Lambert. When moved to Chicago he released the beautiful Celebs EP. This year he released We were Enchanted on Plug Research. For fans of Xiu Xiu, Six Organs of Admittance, broadcast a.o.

Named after the famous cyclist Pedro “El Conquistador” Delgado. Bluegrass, bluefuzz, bluetrash, all fine…from amsterdam…partytime.
With members of the Skidmarks, Check 1-2 and Fat Pete and the Sherpas.
THE LONGMEN (NL)

DJ Hank Long (ALTR, Rare Records) and U-man (Effenaar, The Clash) are the longmen. A back-to-back mix of new rave and rocking electro. Think Klaxons, Justice, Digitalism, CSS, Boys Noise. But tonight might be a bit more “piep-en-kraak” and less floorfilling electro.
PANSANJORGE (DJ-SET) (NL-UR/MEX)
Probably the most laziest DJ’s around. Late 90s founded in the Chilean Atacama desert with a common interest for Pisco Capel, Tabacco and Noisy escapades. Jorge W (double Uve) and Pan San play everything between Ethiopian Jazz, Raw Garagerock, Pure Noise, Krautrock and back. 3 records the same time or no record at any time. It all doesn’t matter. If it’s raw then it’s right!

As it is a distorted channel party no Dj will play their regular DJ-set. So this time no Gemene mixmeester but just DJ Joep…
