I'd told TD to come at 18:15. and was worried when after having to travel about a million miles further, me and Abu only left the house then. However, we were due to arrive in Brighton at 18:45. Somehow TD, Danny, amoe and Sam had only just got to Redhill station. Well played then. I resigned myself for having to wait the estimated twenty minutes for them.
However, after me and Abu had arrived and spent some time looking for the venue without a map, I became a bit more worried when, by 19:00 they hadn't left Redhill yet. Rejects. And TD had cunning forgotten the "hundred copies" of the route to the Sallis Benney Theatre we'd relied on him to bring. Abu and I had to run aimlessly round Brighton for another hour down the dodgiest alleys to eventually find it. We had lots of time to peek inside at the band warming up and eat some sweets before the four idiots came running inanely down the road to us at 20:00 – the time the gig was due to start. …
