ELEVEN POND (US)
26 years after the release of their legendary cult album ´Bas Relief´ they are performing again, this night being their first ever live gig in Europe! Jeff Gallea and Tim Masick will enthusiastically feed us the best old and new pop songs within the dark- and minimalwave genre. ‘Watching Trees’ will make you sing along and will make you smile from ear to ear.
DAS DING (NL)
Das Ding is Danny Bosten, who was active in the early 1980s, releasing his own music and friends’ music through his own cassette label Tear Apart Tapes. While studying graphic design in art school, he designed all the tape covers himself. Meanwhile, he recorded his own music as Das Ding. Powerful dark electro, some tracks are quite addictive and danceable while others are better suited for home listening enjoyment.
Twenty years later, and after some deliberation, Das Ding reincarnated, now with a revised line-up and a working set-up that reflected inevitable technological change. Suddenly, Das Ding was a ‘Dutch electro-pioneer’ and the apparent pinnacle of ‘Minimal Wave’.
