Description

Vagabondz Presents New York hip hop group and producers, The Beatnuts, part of the Native Tongue Collective who excels behind and in front of the mixing board.

The Beatnuts, Psycho Les and JuJu, have worked with some huge names, forging a reputation for being – in their words - “all about the beat”.

Originally a trio, they began producing, and were known for for their remixing, working with the likes of Mos Def and Kurious, Cypress Hill and da Lench Mob.

Nineties releases included 'Intoxicated Dreams: The EP' and 'The Beatnuts: Street Level'. The third member left and the remaining duo released hit 'Off Tha Books' from the album 'Stone Crazy', which was followed by three albums, featuring collaborations with Method Man and Fat Man Scoop.

Later, 'The Milk Me' album was known for the song 'Confused Rappers', which criticised J-Lo and her producers for stealing the beat from their 'Watch Out Now' for her 'Jenny From The Block'. Recent collaborations include performances with Slick Rick and Rahzel.

This year, don't miss their new album, the 'Liknuts' collaboration or the duo playing at Outlook Festival.

They're known for their unashamedly in-your-face performance style and sample heavy beats – it's going to be massive.
