""After a hundred years ... hello."
That's how Morrissey took the stage on St. Patrick's Day 2009 at Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland.
The legendary singer had a notoriously rough history in Pittsburgh -- marred by last-minute cancellations in 1991 and 2000.
Carnegie Music Hall was his first performance here since The Smiths played the Fulton in 1986, and he seemed to be a good time.
Now he's coming back already. The Moz will headline Heinz Hall on Oct. 23 (the day before Neil Young & Crazy Horse play the Petersen Center). There are no details yet on ticket sales.
Morrissey hasn't released a new album since 2009's "Years of Refusal" (a new hits collection came out in 2011). His 660-page autobiography is scheduled to be released in later this year."
