Description
Three world-class jazz musicians, steeped in the traditions of Western classical music, explore the areas of classical aesthetics mixed with a jazz sensibility. Poised beauty mixed with hypnotic grooves.
Alongside John Law’s haunting compositions the trio will also play a few arrangements of classical works including Strauss, Bizet and Purcell.
John Law is a prize-winning classical prodigy on piano who turned away from classical piano studies to pursue jazz and improvised music when he was 23 and has been involved in, and acclaimed for, his work in a wide variety of jazz, as well as modern classical, projects.
