Debo Band / Grupo Fantasma

Boston’s own Debo Band plays a hard-driving strain of ’70s Ethiopian pop music with elements of rock, funk and jazz. The 11-piece band created a huge buzz at globalFEST and SXSW this year for its “incredible energy and passion and excellence.”-All Songs Considered, NPR. Next Ambiance/Sub Pop will release its hugely anticipated self-titled debut album on July 10.


Grammy-winning Latin funk orchestra Grupo Fantasma is best known for its exuberant live shows and recent association with Prince, backing him on several occasions.
