FREDRIK THORDENDAL from Meshuggah will join MATS & MORGAN ALL STAR TEAM on the boat.
They will perform songs from his SOL NIGER WITHIN album!!!
A historic moment!!!!

IA EKLUND from Freak Kitchen is also in the band so fans of solid guitarwork will get a real HARD ON on the boat!!!

The party will take place over 40 hours on the largest ferry on the Baltic Sea, the Silja Symphony, a 204m luxury cruiser equipped with sauna and swimming pool facilities, cabins complete with showers, a shopping galleria, 8-10 bars and restaurants, and apart from the fantastic lineup of bands, there will also be an international music convention in the conference area, which is over 1000 square meters.

The ferry will be leaving at 17:00 on Saturday 8th March, and will be returning to Stockholm 09:30 on Monday 10th March, with a 7 and a half hour stop in Helsinki, during which a mini film festival will be held on the boat by Klubb Super 8 (for those wishing to remain onboard).

The age restriction for the cruise is 18, which is a special concession as the age limit for weekend cruises is normally 23. Besides the great people doing good partying onboard there was music. Music performed very well making the whole experience unforgettable. Katatonia's performance was my favorite but that does not say anuthing bad about the other performances whilst some were far from my personal taste! I have let myself be surprised and special props go to PIU (and their guest ;) for their performance!

And yes, a great party it was! Completely blown away by everything. It was worth the trip from the Netherlands!!! Opeth and Katatonia were amazing and I also enjoyed the Swedish singer-songwriters in the pub. Stefan, thank you very, very much!

Sadly, I missed Comus due to almost spray painting the boat with my uber tasty puke due to the rocking, but I personally thought Mats & Morgan were absolutely jaw dropping. Not to mention Thordendal playing special defects live - which is likely to be the only time it is ever performed infront of an audience.

A truly amazing experience. Highlight was definitely an amazing performance by Comus. They sounded unbelievably good, especially after 35 years of not playing together. Opeth, Katatonia, Anekdoten all put in fantastic performances as well, though it was a little hard to stay standing with the boat rocking from side-to-side during Katatonia's set ;). Thanks Stefan for making the Melloboat happen!
