Niche Productions presents Hope Street Recordings’ best bid for Funk’s Future: The Cactus Channel! The ten teenagers with a grasp on the history of Soul music well beyond their years but still with an ear towards the future will be launching their brand new 7” single ‘Emanuel Ciccolin/Budokan’ with special guests Saskwatch & Sleeping Bag, heralding the arrival of Australian funk’s new wave!


One year after their debut vinyl release turned funk and breaks lovers worldwide on their heads, Australia’s baddest High School band have come of age. Recorded under maximum pressure in the final months of their secondary education, the new release is cooking with all kinds of gas. The musicianship, and writing on this record is superior, the production ruffer and tuffer, and with a full length LP only a few months away, Emanuel Ciccolini/Budokan is just a taste of the badness to come.

The official launch of the new single is the tip of the iceberg, as the band prepares plans for world domination with their LP getting a worldwide release (more details to follow) and imminent plans to showcase it to the masses. Today, The Evelyn tomorrow, the world!
