Het Noorse duo Kings Of Convenience komt op zaterdag 7 en zondag 8 april voor twee verschillende optredens naar Paradiso. Op zaterdag 7 april spelen ze een A-sides concert in de grote zaal, vergelijkbaar met een gewoon optreden van Kings Of Convenience. Tijdens hun B-sides concert op zondag 8 april in de kleine zaal speelt het duo juist liedjes die de dag ervoor niet te horen zijn; dan komen de liedjes aan bod die in ruim tien jaar Kings Of Convenience weinig te horen zijn geweest. Kings Of Convenience lichten toe: “This gives us a chance to play songs from our whole career that for some reason don’t get as much time in the spotlight as the others. So if you are a big KoC fan, we invite you to attend both shows.”

Kings Of Convenience bestaat uit Erlend Øye en Eirik Glambek Bøe uit Bergen in Noorwegen. Gewapend met akoestische gitaren bracht het duo met hun debuutalbum ‘Quiet Is the New Loud’ in 2001 een opvallend statement en werd gebombardeerd tot vaandeldragers van ‘The New Acoustic Movement’. In 2009 brachten Kings Of Convenience hun meest recente, derde album ‘Declaration of Dependence’ uit. In de tussentijd was Erlend Øye zeer succesvol met zijn band The Whitest Boy Alive.

    Thanks Barrewar01. Ik ben zo blij dat ik voor beide concerten een kaartje heb kunnen krijgen. 't Verschil was duidelijk merkbaar maar nog steeds zo goed. Tot de volgende keer maar weer!

    Het is een e-ticket, dus mailen kan evt ook trouwens. Maar met het geld is het handiger om het bij het concert te regelen denk ik. Kaartje tegen kostprijs.
