Björn Kleinhenz is a swedish independent mucisian.
He was born in southern Germany in the summer of 1981 but moved at an early age to Sweden where he has lived since.
After growing up playing punk and hardcore in the small southern town of Sölvesborg he set off as a solo artist around his 20th year and has since then been a highly productive record artist and performer.
Björns debut album came out in 2003 and in the same year he played his first shows abroad, in Germany and Austria. He has since then had a love affair with the german speaking countries and the shows are so many one does not quite have the energy to count any longer. Six albums have been released together with over ten other releases in different formats.
In 2011 the album Djago Bråk came out and early in 2012 a collaboration project with photograher Simon Rydén for which Björn recorded a collection of nine songs.
When Björn does not make music or tour he likes to read Thomas Bernhard, Sture Dahlström, Nicole Krauss and Alice Munro. At present his hero is Stephen Fry and he has for a long time found it hard to decide wether Filippo Tommaso Marinetti is a genius or an idiot.

Auch 10 Jahre in zahlreichen lauten Bands konnten seine Liebe zu ruhigen Tönen nie unterbinden. Nun scheint er endlich angekommen zu sein – losgelöst von allem Entbehrlichen und reduziert auf eine gezupfte Gitarre und eine glockenhelle Stimme, die sich in sensiblen Popsongs vereinen. Mal unverblümt schwärmerisch, mal zurückhaltend abstrakt, jedoch immer eigen und authentisch. If Manda leaves singt gefühlvolle Songs angefüllt mit Poesie sowie philosophisch und teilweise kryptisch anmutenden Botschaften, in denen sich jeder irgendwie wieder finden kann.
