Tygers Of Pan Tang and Lancelot Lynx
AliveinCork is delighted to announce the arrival of N.W.O.B.H.M. Classic Rockers
Tygers of Pan Tang,to Ireland,for the first time.
Formed in 1978,by Rob Weir,the band released their first album “Wild Cat” in 1980.
John Sykes (Thin Lizzy & Whitesnake) later joined and appeared on “Spellbound”.
Sykes left the band,and was replaced by Fred Purser.In 1982,they released their fourth album
“The Cage”,which was their most accomplished effort so far.After a lot of frustration wiyh their
record company,they decided to call it a day.In 2001 Rob returned,with a new line-up.and recruited
Italian vocalist Jacopo Meille,who all remain with the band today.In 2007 they unleashed their EP
called “Back & Beyond” which was very well received.In 2008 they released “Animal Instinct” which
got an 8/10 from Classic Rock’s Geoff Barton.2012 seems to be very busy already, with festivals like
the Sweeden Rock Festival,and the Skulls of Metal Festival,to name but a few.It’s a great oppertunity
to see one of the best classic rock bands,Aliveincork…
