Twenty years ago a new sound arose in England that dominated clubs around the country in no time: Drum ‘n bass. Artists like Goldie, Grooverider, LTJ Bukem and Roni Size topped the charts. In 2002, Major League put drum ‘n bass on the map in Holland with sold-out events.
In 2012 Major League celebrates its 10th anniversary. For the kick-off on February 10th the originators Fabio & Grooverider are invited … get ready for some serious action!
Grooverider, the godfather of drum ‘n bass, began DJ-ing in the late 80’s on pirate radio stations and raves. Together with partner in crime Fabio they determined the sound of drum ‘n bass for over twenty years. They are heard weekly on BBC Radio1 and play on events around the world. On February 10th they perform together for the first time at Major League in Amsterdam together with the new generation of party DJ’s!
