With his earthy and atmospheric songs, new fado sensation Antonio Zambujo treats us to a night of nostalgia and romance Portuguese-style. Zambujo has been a major voice in the resurrection of male fado singers in a genre dominated by females in recent years. Winner of the Amália Rodrigues Foundation prize for Best Fado Male Singer, he merges traditional
fado with cante alentejano (male chant form southern Portugal with North African influences) and Brazilian popular music.
