ALICE GOLD

A powerful pull of both masculine and feminine, laced together with straight out Patti Smith punk spirit and a keen pop ear, Alice Gold channels a definite pop sound but with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. Since the release of her debut single last year Alice has toured with the likes of Eels, Athlete, Band Of Skulls, and Noah And The Whale, as well as being shortlisted for Q magazine’s ‘Next Big Thing’ award. Gold by name and gold by nature, there is immense warmth in Alice’s sound and lyrics which is illustrated beautifully in her debut album ‘Seven Rainbows’ that is made up of dense, complex atmospherics and an effortless melodic sophistication.

“…an album that transcends any accepted conventions of ‘female singer-songwriter’, it lays the foundations for a rock star.” - BBC

MONUMENT VALLEY

Formed whilst living aboard in Madrid, Monument Valley is the musical creation of London-born and raised songwriter Edward Younger. After early demos found their way to the Communion label and club night this summer, a debut EP was released in November, which saw Edward backed by an orchestral section – including the Mumford and Sons horn section playing a very romantically styled (almost Salvation army) colliery brass, and classical cellist Gregor Riddell.

With echoes of Nick Drake, Bon Iver, Jamie T and an adolescence listening to the anti-folk and indie-pop of Moldy Peaches, Decembrists and Belle and Sebastian, the No Air EP introduces an exceptional talent and songwriter to the world, one with both huge originality and a lyrical talent to clearly mark him out from the off. Younger is joined live by Ridell’s cello whilst he plays guitar, and it’s in the whites-of-eyes live arena where he really comes into his own.

THE ROBERT LANE BAND

Robert Lane is a Birmingham based singer/songwriter. His new EP ‘Any Place You’d Like To Know’ is available for download now, and the physical version is on sale at Robert’s gigs. The 6 song EP features a diverse mix of tracks which are reflective of Robert’s range of influences.

In May 2010 he was chosen by the LG Arena to perform before concerts by Dire Straits front man Mark Knopfler, international superstar singer/songwriter John Mayer and BBC sound of 2010 winner Ellie Goulding

Robert has supported a wide range of performers including Cattle and Cane, Edwina Hayes, Steve Gibbons, Dan Whitehouse and Steve Ajao.

TARA

Originally signed to a small indie label a few years back, Tara has travelled extensively working with various writers across America. Finally settling with a writer and producer called Tony Fennel, her debut album ‘Night Racing’ was born. Having played showcases in New York, London and Atlantic Records founder Armet Ertigan’s yacht, and with an Australian album release, Tara is finally back home working on brand new material.
