VARISCYTHE

Variscythe was founded in 2008 By Ika, Youssry and Lloyd, after which Robbert and John completed the formation in 2009.

After being selected as one of the finalists for the Peter Tetteroo Bokaal (Westerpop, Delft) Variscythe started preparing for their biggest show yet. By writing brand new material and at the same time playing gigs throughout Holland, Variscythe gave themselves a fighting chance at winning the PTB. Also part of the preparation was the pre-PTB show at De Supermarkt, The Hague. -Because of the success of this
night, they had been asked to come back in October to play there again-
Westerpop itself was a big success for the band, the many newly acquired fans loved the energy coming from Variscythe.

What does Variscythe have in store for 2012? More and bigger shows, and recording a full album somewhere in 2012. “In the meantime, we’ll play every damn show we like, and rock out as hard as we can. If you like metal… Hell, even if you don’t, come see us at one of our shows!”

DISQUIET


The Dutch melodic thrash outfit Disquiet was founded March 2000 in Utrecht.

Disquiet build a strong live reputation: ‘Disquiet demonstrates live how to make good music combined with a good show’ (3voor12). However, continuous changes in the line-up and other setbacks resulted in years of silence…
Despite this misfortune, Disquiet kept developing with a strong belief in their
music. Their style moved to Bay Area oriented thrash metal mixed with melodic
European elements. Imagine a combination of Testament with Arch Enemy,
moderated with some modern metalcore influences. The three track promo
‘Hate Incarnate’ (2008) indicates this fresh start: ‘Ten minutes of this intense music is
never enough. This sounds great and the heavy production makes us hungry for more’.

In May 2011, the band finishes its first full-length album ‘Scars Of Undying Grief’.
A product of perseverance which is produced by Tommie Bonajo (Blind Sight), the
debut demonstrates Disquiet’s approach to modern metal. The first single
‘Trenches Of Blood’ has already been featured on 22tracks (a site with playlists
composed by leading music journalists) and can be listened to on the channels
below. The album will be officially released in late 2011.
For March 2012 Disquiet is planning a South-American tour with strong Surinam
connections (ex-bass player Jerry Orie, singer Sean Maia). This first European metal
band on Surinam soil will mean an injection of their upcoming metal scene.

JINX

JINX is opgericht in 2003 en bestaat uit drie ervaren muzikanten die
allemaal veel ervaring hebben opgedaan in meerdere zalen, kroegen en
opnamestudio’s. Met hun stevige en strakke drum en baspartijen, een rauwe
rockstem en virtuoos gitaarspel doen zij zalen dampen.
