Baba Yaga’s Hut and Together We Can Present…

Self titled album Jim Noir ‘’is the Mancunian genius’s debut proper. And what a debut, stuffed with whimsical beauty and gorgeous layered harmonies that Brian Wilson would kill for, each instrument and vocal painstakingly overdubbed by Noir. Noir seems to possess the childlike wonder of a Syd Barrett…’’ The Independent 5/5

Invigorated, re-charged and ready to go, Jim Noir is not only back in music but he’s started his own club - aptly named the Noir Club – each month releasing ‘a new piece of something on his website. It could be a lost EP, it could be a little film. It could even be the musical been working on called ‘Golf?’ You can’t iron in the woods.’’ Jim Noir

Friend or no friend, Jim is not a musician you can tempt to play for a quick buck. He’s a heart man. A true ‘all or nothing’ musician; when his heart’s in it, his heart’s in it and that shows in his thirst to get our hearts beating too! The good news is, after years of trying to get him to play live again, he’s not only started doing so, but he’s brought us a yield of his finest specially produced organic quirkiness to keep us well fed for the foreseeable future.

Jim Noir’s music has been described as psychedelic pop electronica with simplistic, often repetitive lyrics, and is often compared to The Beach Boys, Super Furry Animals, The Beta Band and The Bees. He is a multi-instrumentalist with an ear for brilliant melodies and an unparalleled eye for the absurd.

The show also features a perfect supporting cast including rising stars Race Horses, who the Sunday Times proclaimed their debut album ‘A 13 track joyride… White Album Beatles, glam-rock, electro, barbershop, tropicalia, chamber pop and post-rock into the mix…a beserk and brilliant record’, and the foolishly overlooked Black Daniel who have been billed by the BBC as ’a cross between The Velvet Underground and The Pogues’.
