i call a $hit concert a $hit concert...don't care about the reasons behind the song choices and the lighting etc. if he wants to plays as the cardinals, fine, release all your cds as the cardinals and not ryan adams - easy tiger and don't promote the tour as ryan adams and don't charge $70... he is a pretentious c#%t

Ryan just wants to be a cardinal now, so he wants to play his new songs. So for him it's like asking him to play Whiskeytown songs. Also it was absolutely ridiculous when the guy asked for them to turn on the lights after they said please just let us play and we'll try to make it work for everyone. And you can't complain about the band, they were fucking brilliant.

Those one or two songs make all the difference. I also think it is about time the paying audience stood up to indulgent performers who seem to treat the night as nothing more than an extended jam. 'Tortured genius' or not, you should still play your best songs and 'biggest hits' if you want to charge like a major international act.

trendyw Randy, as far as I've been able to tell it was pretty similar to most of his shows in recent months... give or take one or two songs.

Man, frontier denied my request for a refund...b@stards... tried to tell me that the Thurs set was the same set played in Europe, US, rest of Australia...that is BS, wasn't even the same set as played at the Friday night gig.

was definitely the guitarist making the petulent early comments (only Ryan action was the lighter) i am still shatterred that 'goodnight rose' was so amazing and it was downhill in all respects after that...arghhhhh....
