John Garcia rocks, pure and simple. Even though I felt that this show would be like seeing The Beatles with either John or Paul absent, it was much better than that. Kyuss without Josh isn't as good as Kyuss with Josh, but still rocks hard. Bruno Fevery did a yeomen's job on guitar, although certain numbers, like Fatso Forgetso, sounded a little different than expected. His low tuned Les Paul through Marshalls sounded pretty good, but the discerning listener could tell it was no Ovation GP through bass cabinets. I was extremely exited that Scott Reeder played several numbers. Much love to Nick Oliveri, but I always thought Reeder's work on the last two Kyuss albums set the standard. Having the Lallis play on N.O. was such a treat. Mario's influence on Josh and others desert rockers can't be understated. All in all, I was very pleased to attend this show.
