HOLIDAY MOUNTAIN
Geoglyphs, Global Crash and Katie Laub
Holiday Mountain is a concoction of reggae, folk, and hip hop, all collaborating to make human beings and non human beings world wide groove really hard and awaken to the evolutionary impulse to realize our infinite interconnectedness.
Dabbling in ambient, house, big beat, trance, breakbeat and electro, Global Crash is the brainchild of Paul Holder. They are at both times music to make you wanna dance and music to make you contemplate the meaning of existence.
Katie Laub is folk noise. She is influenced by Appalachian Folk Music, and Mennonite Hymn Singing. THis is juxtaposed with noise that is influenced by Alvo Noto, Ryoji Ikeda, Lucky Dragons, and Throbbing Gristle.
Geoglyphs plays highly-rhythmic music exploring a broad spectrum of sound. Their songs weave polyrhythmic bass, drums, and percussion, with a multitude of textural sonic layers, often contrasting tightly composed passages with bursts of free improvisation, noise, and ambience.
