Since she performed here back in 2009, Manchester’s Karima Francis has been taking stock. In November 2008 her debut single – Chasing the Morning Light - saw her shoot from obscurity to everyone’s “Hotly Tipped” list for the new year – including Observer, Mojo, Daily Mail and many others.
That rollercoaster year ended with her debut performance on Later… with Jools Holland. Her introspective, heartfelt songs of observation and beauty are most reminiscent of a young Joan Armatrading or Tracy Chapman and, with her much anticipated second album due out imminently, we’re sure all eyes (and ears) will be on her once more.Karima FrancisScattered Few
