ADE / Richie Hawtin presents Plastikman Live 1.5

Op vrijdag 21 oktober komt Richie Hawtin’s alter ego Plastikman met zijn interactieve liveshow naar de Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. Deze Amsterdam Dance Event Special start om 22.00 uur en gaat de hele nacht door. De kaartverkoop start dinsdag 26 juli om 10.00 uur via Livenation
Plastikman is een interactieve liveshow waarbij alle aspecten van de performance –muziek, licht, audio, visuals en realtime interactie met het publiek- in de hand zijn van één performer: Richie Hawtin. Met de 1.0 versie van deze show deed Plastikman in 2010 als één van de headliners Lowlands aan, maar nu is hij terug met een nog intensere 1.5 versie.
Hawtin en zijn team werken continu aan de ontwikkeling en verbetering van de show door het toevoegen van nieuwe muziek, visuals en interactieve technologieën. Bijzonder hierbij is dat de show voor de bezoekers interactief is. Door gebruik te maken van de gratis SYNK iPhone-app kan men daadwerkelijk invloed uitoefenen op het verloop van de show. Met features als live chat, een live backstage camerafeed en meer interactieve elementen is de show bovendien de meest interactieve concertervaring van dit moment.
Richie Hawtin staat al jaren bekend als artiest die muziek, technologie en live performance op bijzondere en vooruitstrevende wijze met elkaar verbindt. In 2010 werd hij door lezers van de grootste electronic music portal Resident Advisor gekozen tot ‘number one live electronic show of the year’. In 1990 ging zijn Plastikman project van start en de ontwikkeling van het concept is nog steeds niet ten einde. Volgens Hawtin zelf: “I’m incredibly excited to finally take Plastikman on its first standalone tour. These dates will represent the last opportunities for fans to catch Plastikman Live in its current form: the 1.5 version of the show we’ve spent nearly a year of fine-tuning. After that, Plastikman will be returning to the shadows to begin work on a brand new 2.0 concept. The fall tour will be full of surprises, and the performance will continue to be spontaneous and unique for every show – the way I believe live music should be performed in 2011.”
Plastikman staat niet alleen in de Heineken Music Hall, support acts zijn van zijn eigen Minus label en worden binnenkort aangekondigd.
