The Ramirez Brothers
They describe themselves as a “Warm Gun Power Trio“ and play high-speed Rockabilly and Blues. Uzi “Boom Pam“ Finerman, Sefi “Funk’n’stein“ Zisling” and Eitan Efrat have successfully created their own private myth, claiming to be three brothers from Mexico who somehow ended up in Tel Aviv.
Whatever about that, what is true is that the Ramirez Brothers’ music is stylish, funky and, as one Israeli journalist recently put it, a shot of purified life energy straight into the vein“. Released on Audio Montage, Israel’s quality alternative label, they burst onto the already vibrant Tel Aviv scene: with a piercing trumpet, theatrically distorted guitar, 1970s Funk & Soul rhythms and a mass of facial hair.
