Apparat (aka Sascha Ring) comes to the Arches, Glasgow as part of his first full scale tour with a four-piece band, recreating his ambient, techno-driven electronica live on stage.

Back with a stunning new album, the Berlin-based DJ and producer cemented his place amongst this century’s most exciting electronic talents with 2007 album Walls. Featuring singles Arcadia and You Don’t Know Me, it was released on Allien’s label to huge critical acclaim, and cementing his hallmark combination of “the mechanized pulse and sonic possibilities of techno with good old bliss-out dreams” (Pitchfork).

As well as his solo work, he’s also celebrated for his collaborations with BPitch founder Ellen Allien, and with Modeselektor as one third of Moderat - voted the best electronic live act around by Resident Advisor in 2009.

Support comes from When Saints Go Machine, the Danish electro-pop act probably best known for their 2009 track Fail Forever. Their beautiful new single Parix is taken from their Konkylie album, released in May this year.
