I didn't think it was weird enough! Way too much of the same sort of thing - small name abstract / avant / tuneless experimentation - without the usual possibility of trying out the other room if you don't like this one. Seriously, only 2 acts in the small room, 1 of which had already played in the big room? Come on! Special mention for Thundercat's extraordinarily insipid stylings - who on earth booked him? I want unexpected, not unlistenable. In previous years we've had Knalpot, Pan Sonic, Spinvis, Jaki Liebezeit, Ceephax, Pole, DAT Politics, Keiji Heino and that lady suspended in mid-air playing a harpsichord. Plus that amazing laser show in 2004! Please - regroup and rewind!
Well that was disappointing :-( Anyone else think both quality and quantity of the acts really took a dip this year? I suspect doing it over three days in three locations made for some unfortunate compromises. Boo!
