I watched the show from the hill. Fleet Foxes were amazing live & Alela Diane was great live too. Now I know that watching from the hill for free is an option to see shows at Red Butte Garden.

New album incredible. There is no argument. And Red Butte? Sure, kinda full of old people, definitely a backwards way of selling tickets (had to sneak into Wilco in '08) but whatever. Fleet Foxes are one of the most talented bands of recent years and this is a show worth every dime.

They've only played Red Butte once before, right? Opening for Wilco. They recorded the exact same album again. Their first album was a little refreshing, but more of the same stuff is just tiresome and boring.

And whining about the patronage of the venue rather than the quality of the band therein is somehow less condescending to the art than 'yuppies' wanting to go see a legitimately good act? Sorry hot shot but you don't own good music.

Not sure why this time is worse than the previous times they've played Red Butte.

This band turned into a parody of themselves. They are playing a venue filled with rich liberal yuppies. No thanks. They were better at Urban Lounge opening for Blitzen Trapper.
