Aly Bain is Scotland’s supreme traditional style fiddler. His playing is unique - driving, impassioned and pure - with an unmistakable tone that has earned him a following of ardent fans throughout the world.

They have toured together since 1988, have recorded five albums and won the Best Duo Award in the 2005 BBC Folk Awards. Their performances are a mix of high energy, technical instrumental wizardry and hilarious between-set humour. Their bond is unique, each effortlessly working off the other whether playing fiery traditional reels or self-written slow airs.
