Released in 1997, ‘Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space’ is the definitive work in the Spiritualized canon. It immediately achieved a reputation as a genre-defying rock masterpiece, beating even Radiohead’s ‘OK Computer’ album for the coveted title of NME Album of the Year.

12 years later, frontman Jason Pierce aka J. Spaceman is on a mountaintop in Australia, where the idea to finally perform the album live begins to sound like a good one.

After two more years and performances of it in its entirety at London’s Royal Festival Hall and New York’s Radio City Music Hall, this extravagant performance finally makes it to Australia, for two nights only as an exclusive engagement for Vivid Live 2011.

What many hail as the best British rock record of the last 20 years, is even more impressive in its live incarnation. The power of the arrangements and the soaring symphonic imagination behind them shine fresh and free and new.

    Does anyone know what time doors open? From the way the ticket's worded, it sounds like Spiritualized will be on at 9 but there's no mention of when the venue opens.
