I was standing right next to the heckler for a good part of the show (wish I could have been a bitch and elbowed my way away from him). don't really understand why security didn't throw him out? he plowed through 3 beers and lit up right in front of them...
Great show. Shitty crowd. I wish it was 18+ (or 21+).
A missed connection note to the guy who barrelled through the (very packed) crowd then told me "fuck you" when I couldn't get out of his way fast enough - I rescind my "you too" and would like to update my response to "no thank you, you are a very small person in every meaningful way" - also, WTF is with everyone texting through the entire concert? With their phones at 100% brightness too. Shitty crowd.
Beremat: Yea I realize that, and as it turned out I liked what they did without the keyboard, but still I liked blaming the venue for its bad voodoo. Despite everything I said Yeasayer did say it was the most fun they've had on tour, so that must count for something too.
Terminal 5 is the scum of the earth. Yeasayer killed it and sounded incredible as always, despite the frequent sound problems and breaking equipment (Terminal 5....) they pulled together fantastically. The crowd was the worst group of children, maybe 6 or 7 people out of the 3,000 were appearing into it. I got weird looks from people for just bobbing my head and smiling, I guess I'm not cool enough to enjoy Yeasayer or something. People are shoving to get closer, and for what? To just stand there and text from a new location? I will never see another show in Terminal 5 again, but would absolutely see Yeasayer again in any other context.
Awesome show, but yeah, what was up with some of the fans? Some boy and his friends were nudging me every minute and talking almost throughout. One guy was heckling (wtf- why did you go?). Some girl was obnoxiously screaming (not singing) in my ear. Despite the technical difficulties they encountered with the microphone and keyboard, it was still a good show =)
