Carmel Nights is back for 2011!
Join us at 7.30pm on Saturday 19th March at the Watermans Arts Centre, Brentford for another unforgettable evening of live, soul-stirring music featuring talented Bahá’i artists from around Europe.
This is an exciting chance to immerse yourself in a set of unique, spiritually uplifting performances inspired by the writings of the Bahá’i Faith.
Our exclusive line-up hails from France, Italy, Ireland and the UK, offering an eclectic blend of ethno-pop, classical, soul, folk and meditative music themed around messages of unity, joy, love, purity and reconciliation.
Artists performing include:
Naim Abid
Musician and entertainer, Naim Abid, will be performing a selection of original songs in Arabic, Italian and English in an ethno-pop style. Personal lyrics and quotations from the Bahá’ì writings will be alternated, one after the other, in a dynamic and involving show themed around unity and joy, in which the audience itself will be called to take its part.

Luke Slott
After signing a major record deal at the tender age of 18 and a stint with rock band Melaton, Irish multi-instrumentalist Luke Slott launched his solo career with a collection of ten original compositions for solo piano and a second volume of piano music. At Carmel Nights, he will launch his third solo release - and his first as a vocalist - ‘Create In Me a Pure Heart’, a collection of meditative writings from the Bahá’i Faith set to music.

Atef
There are few brand new artists who can boast Elton John, Joss Stone and Patti Labelle among their fans - but Marseille-born ATEF is no ordinary
artist. ATEF possesses a truly unique vocal talent, producing uncompromisingly catchy, first-rate adult pop with an eastern flavour. Peace, unity, love, optimism and reconciliation emerge as the dominant themes through all his songs.
