As a piano player / singer-song writer, Nicholas Roy is somewhat unusual in the indie rock venues he frequently plays. Regularly slotted in amongst jangling guitar bands, his material often surprises audiences and has been very well received. Whilst living temporarily in Western Australia in 2006, Nicholas produced and recorded his debut EP titled “Cardboard Heart”, which sold well at gigs.
Upon returning to his hometown of Melbourne, Nicholas began working together with writer/producer Jaime Jimenez and further developed his song writing skills, recording great songs and enhancing his live shows. With a home recording set up, Nicholas is creating a sound and style that is quite unique, yet very accessible.
