I think the whole day was awesome tbh. All the support acts were amazing (yes, even The Vaccines!). I watched most of the support acts from the mid section of the crowd and from there I experienced a few of the sound problems people have mentioned, which was a bit of a shame. For Arcade Fire I got pretty much to the barrier and from there it was perfect. Excellent sound and the crowd was very lively indeed! Possibly the best performance I've seen from Arcade Fire, they all seemed pretty happy on stage and that mentality really boosts a performance. I saw them in Birmingham last year and Win seemed pretty pissed off cos of the dead crowd, and it showed quite a lot at times. Hyde Park was the opposite: Amazing!

Arcade Fire were amazing and the other supporting acts were good except for Mumford & Sons, which I found tired and boring. Didn't have problems with drunk and fighting people and to me the sound was ok.

I didn't realise so many people had the same experience of drunken idiots at the gig as me. Arcade Fire were great, but up until they started, the gig wasn't so great. I think it was during Mumford & Sons where I witnessed about 3 different fights, with boys about 17 swearing and cursing people 30+ their age (and a 17 year old boy calling a 40 year old woman a c___ and telling her to: "fuck off to the back with the old people" because she wouldn't move out the way so he could get out his iphone and film mumford & sons.) I just don't understand what it is about Mumford & Sons that made people want to fight. They're hardly heavy, are they?

I was at the very first row just in front of a speaker and I was surprised at how low the sound was even there, not that it bothered me really, at least my ears were perfectly fine, but I can imagine how bad it was for people standing further. I agree with crowd looking bored too, that was the most disappointing bit, I somehow felt like I was the only person enjoying myself, otherwise Arcade Fire were incredible. Unfortunately, drunk/loud people were to be expected. I spent the day gritting my teeth but I thought it would be even worse.

A man near me collapsed from a drug overdose and had to be carried out of the park just as Arcade Fire started

Dreadful sound until it went dark. A little disappointing all in all it's fair to say. Crowd seemed bored.
